Ghost Girl.

waiting,
     for something to spark.
     waiting;
       sitting silently in the dark.

like a ghost,
     existing only on the      fray
of memories
of a far and distant day.

fading into nothing,
waiting for a hand
                        to reach out
and maybe understand.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been wanting to try the ghost effect for the past few months, and today felt as good a day as any. Another reason I wanted to try this is because I have a hard time coming up with an artistic concept, planning, and executing. I can take pretty pictures of flowers and tea cups, but when it comes to a "project" I usually fall short. It may not be the most amazing image ever, but I'm proud of myself for planning a shoot, working out the technical details, and expressing the emotions I wanted to convey. I also haven't written in a long time, it felt sort of good to get out the proverbial pen.

Yay for being productive and creative! :) :) :)

PS: other than the b/w conversion and applied texture, there was no post processing or image merging. This is a single image straight out of the camera! :)
