Some Days

I love those days when you can sit back and look at your life and say, I'm so stinkin' blessed.

Good friends, amazing family, and one heck of a husband-to-be. I love life.

Catching up on pictures

Ashley and I drinking our cherry limemades at my bachelorette party...

Katherine looking rather seductive...

This is where we will be living for the next year and a half! Our little basement apartment has it's own entrance on the side of the house...lovely! :) They are putting in grass this spring thank goodness! No more red wood chips.

One day after church Morgan and I went to the Y trailhead and took pictures on the gate thinking it would look cutesy and artistic. Hah.

???

Morgan had a football game and I told him he looked like an English "football" player. So I gave him a mohawk. HOT.

8 o'clock = too early

Judge me if you must, but 8am is just too dogone early for class. I think morning people should have their own seperate college with their own housing. None of this intermingling of early birds and night owls. There is NOTHING more annoying than sitting next to a chipper person who loves life at 5am. GO AWAY! I don't run in your bedroom at 9pm and ask you how your day was when you're trying to fall asleep! I don't function before 10. It's just not gonna happen. Which is ironic since I'm getting married at 10am and have to be there an hour early which means I'll be waking up veddy, veddy early.

On a less pessimisstic note, I will be more than willing to wake up at 5am on May 9th. In fact, I'll be excited to wake up before 10!! Only 45 days left people! :)

Oops! You forgot to plan the wedding!

Since Morgan and I got engaged, I have had a recurring nightmare that my wedding day arrives and I have forgotten to buy my dress, schedule a photographer, book the temple, and invite my grandparents. I mean really people, I have this dream at least once a week, and I wake up in a cold sweat. You'd think that this constant reminder would be good motivation for a procrastinator like moi, but then again, does anything ever motivate a procrastinator? Besides, if you leave it to the last minute, it only takes a minute! :)

So even though I've been having nightmares every week for the past four months (today is four months since we got engaged!), I kinda forgot to plan anything for the past eight weeks. Oops! Now that we're seven and a half weeks out, I realized it would probably be a good time to start thinking about invitations. I wish it wasn't such a faux pas to send an e-vite. ;)

Yours truly,
A procrastinating sugarblossom

The Chronicles of how-NOT-to-be-a-waiter

Yesterday, Morgan and I went to Olive Garden for lunch. If you know me at all, you'll know that this is my favorite restaurant and that I always order chicken alfredo no matter what time of day it is, what time of year, or who I'm with. We were seated in our usual area (I swear, they have an area for poor-college-looking-students because it's ghetto and right next to the kitchen so we're constantly being accosted by frenzied waiters.) and started looking at our menus. And then I groaned inwardly.

I saw our waiter approaching and I knew our happy little lunch was going south very quickly. You see, we had this same waiter the last time we ate lunch here. And he was by far the worst waiter we've ever had. You know, the creepy kind that kneels down next to the table and talks to you like you're 5 years old and is overly friendly and tells you about every new item on the menu even though everyone knows I order the same dish every time and nothing will ever change that, especially not the gross looking shrimp dish that he wants me to order just because it's expensive and will make his tip higher. HA. Not today BUDDY!

Well, here is the rundown. We asked for no onions on our salad, so we got a salad with EXTRA onions (which he noticed but said we could just pick off). My pasta was cold when it got there, and he kept bringing us breadsticks with no flavoring. The worst thing was Morgan ordered the soup and salad deal...well our waiter gave us the check before Morgan had finished his first bowl! Which only had 2 gnocchis in it anyways! We both just stared at him like, are you crazy? You put the check on the table with mints and we JUST got our food! Needless to say, Morgan asked for another bowl and more breadsticks just to spite him.

When we WERE close to finishing our food, he stalked our table and kept coming over to take the bill but we didn't have any card in it yet. I couldn't believe it! Then after we DID pay, he returned the little black folder with Morgan's card and set it on our table. After a few minutes of trying to enjoy the last of our meals, Mr. Crappy Waiter came over and pulled Morgan's card out of the folder and said, "Don't forget this when you leave." We just stared at him and left.

Oh joy. He was an interesting one.

First cube design

Wednesday's are always great because I have my floral design lab in the morning. Today we made glass cube designs. I would never say so myself, but my floral design teacher certainly said my arrangement was beautiful. ;) Here are some pictures.
