I AM THE QUEEN!!!

Birthdays rock. Now, it's only been mine for 12 minutes, but I just have to say those twelve minutes have been awesome. I opened my birthday package from my mom, I got two texts from Morgan, and I got a sweet email from my brother. Life just doesn't get any better than that. Thanks mom and dad for making me happen!!! ;)

Love you all. Thanks for being such a fabulous part of my life!

Some catching up to do...

Hello all my fabulous and devoted readers!!

I love updating this thing and thinking how few people actually look at it. It's slightly depressing, but when all is said and done I'm going to export my blog to this program (http://www.blurb.com/) that turns it into a book. Then I will have an awesome journal-type publication for all of my posterity to read. Since I'm sure they'll be soooo interested in my oh-so-fabulous life. :)

I finished up finals (Wahoo!) on Thursday and have been enjoying some free time since then. I moved into my old apt on Saturday, took lots of ibuprofen on Sunday because I carried 50,000 lbs of stuff up three flights of stairs on Saturday, and had cleaning checks and a job interview today! I've been so productive. Mom would be proud.

Last night was "game-night" with some friends, and we had a blast. We played Apples to Apples (which I was so close to winning by the way) and Beyond Balderdash. I LOVE both of those games. Balderdash is really funny...you can get pretty creative! It always makes me feel pretty stupid though when I don't think through my answer. We were asked to come up with a plausible meaning for the acronym "I.F.F.A." I put "International Future Farmers of America." Hahaha...if you're slow like me you probably didn't realize that I put International and America in the same acronym. Yep. I'm in college.

A few weekends ago, Morgan and I went to "Color-Me-Mine" which is this really awesome place that lets you pick out a pottery piece and paint it however you want. They fire it for you, and you pick it up three days later! It was SUCH a fun date. Here is how my bowl turned out:

Well folks, that's your update for today! Life is fabulous and I have no complaints. So if you don't mind, I think I'll go take a nap or read or do something equally relaxing. Oh, and keep your fingers crossed that I get a job!

So until next time, my dear and faithful readers...

Yours very truly,
Sugarblossom Cate

Trip to the Zoo!

Last Wednesday we went to the zoo with Morgan's brother and nephews. Going to the zoo has lost a little bit of its excitement since I was 7 years old, but it was still a nice afternoon. It was a small zoo, but had some pretty cool animals! The coolest part was seeing the black bears fighting...maybe I'm a sick-o for thinking that, but there ya go.

Christmas in July

I don't know who decided that Christmas-time festivities could be celebrated in July, but I'm glad they did. I guess if they were going to be logical, they would have designated June as the month of choice since it's halfway through the year...but I'm not complaining. I loved watching those creepy claymation reindeer/santa/jack frost movies during Christmas-in-July marathons when I was growing up...and not much has changed since then. I decided that this year, I was going to throw my own Christmas-in-July party. On the spur of the moment, Morgan and I went to Dollar Tree and spent $5 on wacky toys for each other on "Christmas Eve" (July 24th), and exchanged gifts later that night. Here are a few pictures from our exciting evening! Spontenaiety rocks.
Our Christmas tree and stockings! I made Morgan wear the hat. I wore my festive Christmas pajama pants. :)
Morgan got me my favorite candy --- Whoppers!!!

I love this picture because it's his "real" smile. How fitting considering it's a football toy. :)

The Great Outdoors!

Last week Morgan and I went to the Sheffer family reunion! It was so much fun...it was a long drive waaaayyy past Heber, but definitely worth the trip. We went four wheeling, canoeing, and played with all the kids. This is a picture of Savannah and me. Isn't she styling?

Here is a picture of Morgan and me canoeing...how athletic of us! We even went over to the other side of the lake and skipped rocks for a few minutes. All in all, fabulous trip.
