My downfall

Do you ever find yourself doing this tiny little thing called COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS? Ugh. It's my downfall. And Morgan get's so upset when I do, because apparently I'm fabulous or something. ;)

It's tough though. You get all excited for something (i.e. writing a book, doing photography, cutting your hair, painting), and then you see some fabulous example of someone else's work and it's ten million times better than anything you could accomplish so you give up and resort to eating pizza and chocolate and watching Office episodes online until you feel guilty that you haven't been productive? It's a vicious cycle.

There is one way in which I will never compare myself, or feel like a slacker. What is UP with all those whole food/raw enzyme/health food crazies? Sorry, I don't want to step on anyone's toes or mock anyone's beliefs, but as Brian Regan said...well, here I go! I think it's a bunch of CROCK! Okay, well maybe it is healthier, but really people? Beehives in the backyard? Spinich smoothies for breakfast? I happen to like meat and dairy and I don't plan on giving up processed food anytime soon.

Yesterday I had my bridals taken. I have never felt more like a princess. Actually, I had little girls come up to me and ASK if I was a princess.

I told them yes.

Recent Events

Hello everyone! I wanted to let you all in on the exciting events that have recently taken place in my life! First of all, school is over and I have a lovely FOUR MONTH BREAK! The semester went okay...not my best grades ever, but no C's! Not too shabby for being engaged. :)

I'm now living in the new apartment! It'll be so fun to fix it up and decorate! I can't wait to paint the living room...it definitely needs it. The house is old, but it has character and I love it.

Well, the countdown is getting shorter and shorter! Only 13 days until we get married...I can't believe how fast time flies. We are so excited and can't wait to see everyone at the wedding.

Here is the big news...I was hired to be the photographer for a regional corporate event in Salt Lake! :) It was so much fun...I loved doing it. I even got to meet Reggie Jackson. It was an amazing experience. I've always had an interest in photography, but didn't ever feel like I had a shot. But this job really opened up my opportunities, and I'm seriously considering spending more time with it! :) Here are a few portraits I've done in the past, as well as a few random shots. If you ever want any pictures taken, I'm trying to build up my portfolio and would love to take some! Love you all!

So, my internet doesn't work anymore. I don't know what happened, but it's ticking me off. Thus, I hereby apologize for a lack of posting in the future. I don't know when I'll be able to write you amazing pieces of literature again. It could be awhile.
