My Friend

This is the little boy I work with in the preschool. He's 4 years old. He loves Bob the Builder, Annie, and music. I've spent every day with him over the past seven weeks. This is what I've learned:

1. No matter how old a person is, they can truly be your friend.
2. Everyone has good days and bad days.
3. There is nothing more heartwarming than watching 4 or 5-year-old reach out, accept and include a peer who is a little different than themselves.
4. A good old silly song or dance can really cheer you up.
5. Green Eggs and Ham gets a little old the 20th time you've read it, but the look you get at the end from the little boy you're reading to makes it totally worth it!

I'm so glad I'm going to be working with him again in the fall. The thought of saying goodbye just breaks my heart! I really feel like he has become one of my best friends.

You are very patient and loving, do you want to be my kids nanny, you do a much better job then I do. This is a perfect post, I have been having issues with a little deaf friend of Isaacs and I needed to hear your sweet input. Thanks!
